انکودر ( ENCODER ) که به آن رمز گذار نیز می گویند، یک تجهیز الکترومکانیکی است که حرکت یک جسم را به یک کد دیجیتال یا آنالوگ تبدیل می کند؛ در واقع وسیله ای برای اندازه گیری میزان جابجائی از نقطه ای به نقطه دیگر است. در جوامع صنعتی انکودر ها را بر اساس تعداد پالسی که در یک دور (360 درجه) ایجاد می شود طبقه بندی می کنند. امروزه انکودرهای دیجیتال بطور وسیعی مورد استفاده قرار می گیرند و با پیشرفت علم به کمک تکنولوژی های نوین بسیار دقیق و کارامد ساخته می شوند.
انکودرها از لحاظ ساختمان در دو نوع خطی (Linear Encoder) و چرخشی (Rotary Encoder) و از لحاظ عملکرد نیز در دو نوع انکودر مطلق (Absolute Encoder) و انکودر افزایشی (Incremental Encoder) طراحی و ساخته می شوند.
انکودرهاي مطلق براي کاربردهائی استفاده می شوند که وسیله براي مدت زمان طولانی، متوقف می ماندویاباسرعت کمیحرکت میکند. به عنوانمثالکنترلسطح،تلسکوپهاو آنتن های مخابراتی بزرگ ،جرثقیلهايبزرگ وغیره.

انکودر ( ENCODER ) که به آن رمز گذار نیز می گویند، یک تجهیز الکترومکانیکی است که حرکت یک جسم را به یک کد دیجیتال یا آنالوگ تبدیل می کند؛ در واقع وسیله ای برای اندازه گیری میزان جابجائی از نقطه ای به نقطه دیگر است. در جوامع صنعتی انکودر ها را بر اساس تعداد پالسی که در یک دور (360 درجه) ایجاد می شود طبقه بندی می کنند. امروزه انکودرهای دیجیتال بطور وسیعی مورد استفاده قرار می گیرند و با پیشرفت علم به کمک تکنولوژی های نوین بسیار دقیق و کارامد ساخته می شوند.
انکودرها از لحاظ ساختمان در دو نوع خطی (Linear Encoder) و چرخشی (Rotary Encoder) و از لحاظ عملکرد نیز در دو نوع انکودر مطلق (Absolute Encoder) و انکودر افزایشی (Incremental Encoder) طراحی و ساخته می شوند.
انکودرهاي مطلق براي کاربردهائی استفاده می شوند که وسیله براي مدت زمان طولانی، متوقف می ماندویاباسرعت کمیحرکت میکند. به عنوانمثالکنترلسطح،تلسکوپهاو آنتن های مخابراتی بزرگ ،جرثقیلهايبزرگ وغیره.
